Capitalizing on the public's taste for all things "extreme," the Discovery Channel attempts to inject excitement into a traditionally mundane topic: the weather. As storm trackers hunt down tornadoes, hurricanes, tidal waves and other weather weirdness, the program combines actual footage with computer-generated graphics and special effects to demonstrate what happens when Mother Nature goes crazy.
